Monty Betham - Episode 68

“I grew up and all I wanted to do was play for the Warriors and never play for anyone else. I didn’t even want to play in the Super League. Gary Freeman was the coach at the time and said would you come over here and I said never. He said never say never champ. I had that love hate relationship with some of the fans and some of the media. But that’s life man you just got to take it on the chin and it’s up to you and your purpose. All I ever wanted to do was win a premiership for the Warriors”

My special guest is Monty Betham. Monty is a former professional Rugby League player for the New Zealand Warriors and Wakefield (UK). He represented both Samoa and New Zealand at Test level. He made an impressive switch to boxing retiring with a 8-1 record while today he is a trainer, media personality and is heavily involved in his charity Steps for Life.

You will learn plenty about Monty Betham in episode 68 of the Talking with TK Podcast.
