“The first time a younger player comes into the squad you do get a little starry eyed, I was at that game against Uruguay when we qualified for our first World Cup in 32 years, I was 12, now I’m on the pitch with Tim Cahill 12 years later playing alongside him. The man’s incredible, the condition he keeps himself in, he’s an absolute model professional and too see him play 120 minutes and score 2 goals at international level at 37. He's still the one that team’s fear and the name team’s won’t want coming out against them. His vital to have amongst the squad in terms of experience, that character and charisma he brings amongst all the players”
My special guest on the Talking with TK Podcast is Jackson Irvine. Jackson plays in the English Championship for Hull City and is also a member of national Socceroos Squad where he is capped 14 times for his country.
